With the beginning of classes, comes headaches, stress and sometimes heartburn…lol…ok…ok maybe not that dramatic, but school nevertheless. With the smell of barbecue and the feel of the hot summer days, just passing you by. With you mind playing tricks on you, have you thinking that “the sooner class start, the faster its over” Oh no it slowly drifts pass like a bad sun burn…lol but school nevertheless. What I can say is that having moved out of my aunt’s house and into my own apartment has really made me grow up and start to look at life though whole new lenses, especially considering that I have finally turn 21 and a lot of people are really starting to take me serious, which by the way I hear is a good thing. But one never really knows.
For my 21st birthday I went to Atlantic City with some of my older cousins and let just say I had a lot of fun. One of the things that I think was most notable is the fact when I was playing the penny machines some old man, who had to be older than my grandfather tried to hit on me, I didn’t know if I should laugh or call his nursing home up and report that he was missing. All in all I had a great time, I shopped a little and partied a lot, so what can I say…it was my best birthday by far.
So far I like most of my teachers or should I as “Professors” but there is one, who I will leave nameless as of now, really thinks that his jokes are funny. I and half the class wants to cry every time he laughs from his own corny jokes. A lot of the time I have to pretend that I enjoy his humor but in all reality “Mr. Nameless” is as hackneyed as it comes and because its really to late to get out of his class and into another, I am trapped in his dry jokes class and there is nothing that I can do. A piece of advice is to look up all of your Professors on “Ratemyprofessor.com” before confirmation, because that kind of humor is detrimental to your health. LMAO!
One thing that I am looking forward to is my confirmation as the Director of Community Affairs for Temple Student Government and my swearing in, into the Philadelphia Youth Commission, which both takes place next Monday. I will keep you updated on how it goes.
Talk to you soon.
